The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is an emblematic event held every August. It is one of the largest hot-air balloon festivals in North America, attracting thousands of visitors.

At l'International, we orchestrate these moments of inexpressible happiness, when everything seems to align perfectly to create memorable moments. Friends and families come together to experience the wonder of hot-air balloons, which inspire our daily work. The festival team is at the center of all this magic and continues to innovate to produce even more. We bring people together, we make them dream, and above all, we do it while having fun.

Your responsibilities

  • Furniture creation: Design and manufacture custom-made pieces (tables, chairs, shelves, etc.) in keeping with the theme of the event.
  • Decorative manufacturing: Create decorative wood elements that blend harmoniously into the space.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the event team to ensure that creations meet project expectations and requirements.
  • Installation: Help set up furniture and decorations at the event site.
  • On-time delivery: Ensure on-time delivery and installation of parts.

Requirements

Profile required

  • Technical skills: Proficiency in woodworking tools and techniques (bench saw, router, etc.), as well as a good knowledge of materials.
  • Creativity: Ability to make original, functional parts.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with different trades (designers, event organizers, etc.).
  • Flexibility: Availability to work on site according to the needs of the event.
  • Drawing: Basic technical drawing skills (an asset).
