Promotional Communications Intern

The festival team is at the center of all this magic and continues to innovate to produce even more. We bring people together, we make them dream, and above all, we do it by surpassing ourselves. Our watchword is creativity. We use it in every sphere of our work, whether it's finding solutions, fine-tuning our approaches or delivering one of the most important festivals in Quebec. To this end, we're looking for a Promotional Communications intern to work with us on the ideation and production of the wonder that sets us apart. Mandate: Reporting to the Marketing Director, the intern will participate in the development and execution of the annual communications plan, in line with the International Balloon Festival's marketing communications objectives and strategic planning. He/she will participate in the promotion of the festival, with the aim of increasing awareness and attendance.

Your responsibilities

Participate in

  • Development of promotional communication strategy to ensure optimum visibility of advertising campaigns;
  • Planning and monitoring the schedule of advertising placements with the festival's media partners;
  • Creating and monitoring the event's promotional activities calendar. Act as a bridge between the various collaborators involved (production, suppliers, customers, etc.).
  • Competition management (media, partners and festival)
  • Creation and editing of various communications tools
  • Website
  • Special issue
  • Newsletter
  • Social networking
  • Canadian and U.S. promotional tour rolled out
  • Supervision of the festival's graphic production
  • Ensure standardization of graphic standards (contact with agencies, graphic designers, etc.).
  • Photo and video bank update 
  • Printing (supplier link)
  • Managing organization requests;


  • Excellent written and spoken French;
  • Bilingual with writing skills, an asset;
  • Proficiency in Office suite and Google Workspace;
  • Knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok);
  • Knowledge of Canva an asset.

Previous experience

  • Any relevant experience in public relations, communications or marketing.
