Public Relations Communication Intern

Our watchword is creativity. We use it in every sphere of our work, whether it's finding solutions, fine-tuning our approaches or delivering one of the most important festivals in Quebec. To this end, we're looking for a Public Relations Communications intern to work with us on the ideation and production of the wonder that sets us apart. Mandate: Reporting to the Marketing Director, the intern will participate in the development and execution of the annual communications plan, in line with the International Balloon Festival's marketing communications objectives and strategic planning. He/she will participate in strengthening the organization's positioning with the media, cultural and political communities, in order to optimally promote the festival's mission and image.

Your responsibilities

Participate in

  • Development and deployment of a communications strategy for international public relations;
  • Creation of the press relations plan with the public relations manager, follow-up and analysis of spin-offs;
  • Annual strategy
  • Influencer campaign
  • Press monitoring and review
  • Creation of public positioning plans for the festival (political, media and cultural)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local players
  • Festival representation at various events
  • Digital positioning (tourism,
  • Maintain relations with the media and ensure an adequate response to requests for information;
  • Writing and creating various communications tools, such as press releases, promotional and informative texts;
  • Managing the logistics of media and promotional activities;
  • Organization of the press conference
  • Journalistic activities
  • Development of new concepts and innovative approaches to international communications;
  • Developing and maintaining the organization's image;
  • Creation and drafting of internal communication tools


  • Excellent written and spoken French;
  • Bilingual with writing skills, an asset;
  • Proficiency in Office suite and Google Workspace;
  • Knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok);
  • Knowledge of Canva is an asset ;

Previous experience

  • Any relevant experience in public relations, communications or marketing.
