Originally from Ontario, Alain has 16 years' experience as a pilot, and has had the opportunity to fly in countries such as the Czech Republic, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Qatar, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, Canada and the USA. Since 2009, his main passion has been hot-air ballooning. He is one of the few people in the world to have built his own balloons and baskets from scratch. He makes these balloons under the name Bard Balloons. Seven of his creations are special shapes: an alien rocket, a Christmas deer, a polar bear, a tiger, a robot, a sun/cloud and a mushroom.
