Rock
Built on the solid foundation of classic rock, with its three-part harmonies and duet guitar leads, Canada's Juno Award-winning Sheepdogs blend Southern rock, groove-based psychedelia and bluesy barroom style into a modern rock & roll revival. Formed in 2004, the band achieved mainstream success in 2010 with the release of their platinum-certified third album, Learn & Burn, and have continued to dominate the Canadian charts with efforts such as The Sheepdogs (2012), Future Nostalgia (2015), Changing Colours (2018) and Outta Sight (2022).
Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the band's members include Ewan Currie (vocals, guitar), Ryan Gullen (bass), Sam Corbett (drums), Shamus Currie (keyboards, trombone) and Rick Paquette (guitar). From Canadian concert halls to global music festivals, their hours on stage and on the road are countless, underscoring their stamina in the music business. The release of Future Nostalgia and Changing Colours further enriched their discography, leading to the 2022 release of the jubilant Outta Sight, packed with catchy choruses, solidifying their impact in the rock realm.
More recently, their Outta Sight singles have spent a total of 90 weeks with at least one song in the top 20 on Canadian rock radio. Previously, their hit singles "I Don't Know" and "Feeling Good" both achieved Platinum certification, while "The Way It Is" achieved Gold sales. In addition, the albums Learn & Burn and The Sheepdogs both achieved Platinum status, and to date, the band has been nominated for 11 Juno Awards, winning four.
