Vendou is a Montreal rapper who uses music as an outlet for over-sensitivity; his art is an intimate, sometimes intense exchange at the heart of the spirit. More than ever anchored in the present and in tune with his emotions, resulting from an intrinsic need to plow his own furrow rather than follow established trends, he is part of a lineage of alternative artists using rap as the catalyst for his varied influences.

Winner of Best Hip-Hop EP (GAMIQ) and a Telus Bursary in 2020, the Francouvertes semi-finalist is doing justice to the attention he's been getting with the remarkable release of his debut album MILLÉNIUM (2021, L'Ours - Label). Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, garnering over a million listens to date, and boasting a nomination for the Félix Leclerc de la chanson award and a mention as Best Hip-Hop Album (GAMIQ), Vendou is propelled to the forefront of the emerging music scene. Far from stopping there, in the spring of 2021 he will embark on his first concert tour, taking his universe to the four corners of Quebec, Belgium and New Brunswick.

Filled to the brim by the discovery of these new horizons, it's with the wind in his sails that he prepares the next step. After a 2-year hiatus punctuated by the release of the conceptual EP V POUR, he i launches NEXUS, his second career full-length album, on October 13, 2023.
